Development of Joint Venture Mortgage Company
Several industry manufacturers expressed concern over the inconsistency of construction lending and mortgage lending for their homes going on private land. Manufacturers found sufficient financing in some markets while there was none in others. In order to stabilize this situation, they needed a strong relationship with a major mortgage lender.
Finmark was asked to develop such a relationship. After much research, Finmark developed a Mortgage Joint Venture with Wells Fargo Mortgage and three manufacturers. This joint venture allowed Wells Fargo to have a consistent source of loans from customers buying homes from these manufacturers and allowed the manufacturers to offer a solid source of construction financing and end loan mortgage financing.
That stabilization helped the manufacturers determine their construction schedules and have a reliable source of financing with known loan requirements. Finmark provided all of the marketing and training for the manufacturer’s retail bases in 13 states and managed the venture on behalf of the manufacturers.
